The Reticular Activation System and Relationships
The Reticular Activation System works with The Law of Attraction, which decrees, "like attracts like." Because we're a part of nature our brains work by the Universal Laws.
“Reticular Activation System” or RAS, is the part of your brain that brings your attention to things that are important to you and filters out what is not important to you. This part of your brain is the reason people say "love is blind." When you are in love, you can’t see anything negative about your partner. Because you are only focusing on what you like about your partner. Your RAS, literally brings more and more of those things to your attention. As time goes on and the newness of the relationship wears off, people begin to notice things they don't like about one another. The RAS, then begins to reveal more negative things about your partner and relationship. This is why so many people say, “I don’t know what happened, my feelings just changed.”
The good news is, you can actually program this part of your brain to seek out what you want. This can be easily accomplished by bombarding your brain with what you DO WANT - and ignoring what you DO NOT want. Because the RAS cannot distinguish between what is real and what is imagined, you can use affirmations, visualizations, and consistent action, to upload only what you love about one another into your RAS. This will keep you both focused on only attracting good things into your relationship. Your relationship will begin to flourish and you will feel more in love with one another than you ever imagined possible. This conscious creation will grow your love to new levels and ensure you remain together in love.
Tap into your RAS by using visualization, positive emotion, appreciation, affirmations, and consistent action. We created our Positive Focus & Action program to assist happy couples in creating their "happily ever after." When you use our program, your RAS will take over and keep your love for one another growing and alive.
